Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American actor, singer and writer, best known by the name of Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. Her stage experience began during the 1950s in Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. Thereafter she acted in numerous Broadway productions before making it popular in the national theatre scene with Li'l Abner's in the year 1957. The same year, She made her debut album of songs, called It's the Right Time to Tina. Louise made her foray into Hollywood playing Griselda Walden in God's Small Acre a drama film released 1958.The film was praised widely and Louise won the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. She was enrolled at Actors Studio, New York at the time, and later became Lee Strasberg's pupil. In 1964, she was offered her second notable role, when CBS appointed her as Ginger Grant. Louise kept juggling her work between Broadway as well as Hollywood and portrayed more serious role as opposed her perception of being a glamour girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and in the role of Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in the last few years she also has made her mark as a highly successful director of several well-known television series including Supernatural and The 100. Her birthplace was in Essex on August 28, 1965. Her family emigrated to Toronto at the age of three in the following years, where she lived in the adolescent years and childhood. Then she settled in Vancouver after she was selected for the role of Samantha Carter.
